Casimir pulaski day


The first Monday of March Casimir Pulaski Day was declared in 1997 by the General Assembly of Illinois. This man is considered the person who saved General George Washington in 1777. As a proud Polish-American, I am pleased to celebrate this day. Many Poles living in Chicago, so this is why they Casimir Pulaski day well.Chicago also has a program for street name honor, which are indicated by brown signs which are decorated with genuine green street signs. In Casimir Pulaski day, not only try to honor this man, but also a Polish-American heritage.

Stay in touch with our roots is something that is very important for the Europeans. The parents of my grandmother over Poland and had to change its name to Jordan by hatred of the Poles. It’s great that now we can all celebrate Casimir Pulaski Day together.On Monday, the City of Chicago and Cook County see Casimir Pulaski Day in honor of the cavalry officer of Polish origin died in the War of Independence. Schools Public schools in Chicago, the suburbs were closed.

Interested in the celebration, Fr Sabrina Logisz Great Hall of the Polish Museum of America will be a celebration for 10 hours with interventions by the Governor Pat Quinn and Mayor Richard M. Daley and Polish American leaders. Almost all schools are closed for holidays. Also, do not expect to receive mail that day.I Casimir Pulaski, the street is already the name of Pulaski. Do you really need an honorary designation, so anyone realized what was known as Pulaski Road really after, how is this idiot.
