Charlie Callas


Charlie Callas, who was the actor has died at age 83 in Las Vegas. Charlie Callas was better known in years 60 and 70 of his works with Mel Brooks, Jerry Lewis and Dean Martin. The spciality Charlie Callas was to have sound effects such as stuttering, the phone rings, and whistles and facial expressions of many Charllie Callas.Callas served in the U.S. Army during World War II and then worked as a drummer before turning to comedy. He became known for his television appearances, including regular slots on "The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, before finally banned by the host to push in order to generate laughs.
