Space shuttle launch


The space shuttle Discovery from NASA prepares to launch today, February 24 at Kennedy Space Center, Florida, Space Shuttle Discovery delivered the Express Logistics Carrier-4 (ELC-4), Standing multifunction module (PMM) critical parts and components for the International Space Station for a 11-day mission. When NASA's Space Shuttle Discovery streaks across the sky on his last mission this week, a balloon-camera transport designed in part by high school students will be ready to make the shot of the space frontier.

After 143 miles and nearly one million a year in orbit, the Space Shuttle Discovery is set to launch last Thursday time.Located at Cape Canaveral, Kennedy Space Center is the epicenter of everything that relates to travel and exploration. From there it will be the best viewing locations to see one of the last 5 launches of the space shuttle this year. Other places that best suits of seeing a launch in Brevard Country, FL, including Titusville, the southern part of Cape Canaveral, Cocoa Beach and Merritt Island. Many of these parking spaces, restaurants and / or battery / dock to watch the launch from a distance.

The last five space shuttle missions, will be a priority of the Permanent Assembly of the World Space Station, each mission will be marked with a prefix of CTS and the mission number range 130-134. Only three of transport will take place in these missions, Endeavour and Discovery each participating in two missions each, while Atlantis has only one mission. The Glory mission will increase our understanding of Earth's energy balance by collecting data on the properties of aerosols and black carbon in the Earth's atmosphere and how the solar radiation on the Earth's climate.
